Position Summary Kennel Assistants are responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and comfort for all of our four-legged guests.
Further, the role requires an individual who can continue to deliver excellent client care and customer service at our facility.
A Kennel Assistant performs a wide range of activities related to the facility.
Each is Kennel Assistant is responsible for assisting all kennel and office staff in day to day operations, ensuring a high quality of client service, and ensuring an efficient operation of the kennel.
Job
Responsibilities:
Perform activities related to the day to day operation of the kennel - Cleaning, handling diverse breeds of dogs and cats, pet care needs (feeding, medication, exercises, attention, etc.
) Assisting office staff:
checking in clients, answering the phone, and customer billing.
Responsibility and oversight of our Doggie Daycare Program Work with Management to ensure that Company goals, policies, and procedures are being properly implemented into the Company.
Positively represent Pet Ponderosa in the professional community, to the general public, and to military personnel.
Required Skills:
An individual with strong strategic thinking skills and organizational skills Professional demeanor and appearance with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
Knowledge of pet care basics Interact professionally with a diverse group of employees, customers, and government personnel.
Computer Proficiency
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Required.
MUST be willing to work flexible hours.
Customer Service experience preferred.
Professional Pet Care experience highly preferred.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, knowledge of dog behavior, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule - including weekend and holiday hours.
